A range of Polymaker filaments will now be distributed around the world by Nexeo Solutions 3D, after the companies announced their partnership.

The C515, C515-FR and SU301 filaments are all products sold under the Polymaker Industrial brand, which was launched last year. This group of materials targets manufacturers and engineers looking to maximise the capabilities of extrusion-based 3D printing systems.

Nexeo Solutions 3D is a branch of the wider Nexeo Solutions group that focuses solely on reselling premium materials for 3D printing technologies, in particular fused filament fabrication (FFF). It delivers materials to players in the automotive, electronics and healthcare industries, and has enhanced this service by taking on three new industry-standard materials.

“Expanding our portfolio to include industrial grade filaments from Polymaker Industrial gives our customers access to a wider range of filaments that solve new 3D printing challenges and meet the demands of manufacturers,” commented Paul Tayler, Vice President of EMEA at Nexeo Solutions. “Industrial customers benefit from Nexeo Solutions’ access to world leading plastic producers coupled with additive manufacturing technical expertise.”

In this case, the ‘world leading plastic producer’ is Polymaker. The Shanghai-based customer has made a commitment to delivering to market industrial-grade materials, and has so far commercialised two dozen products under the Polymaker Industrial brand. Three of those, C515, C515FR, and SU301 will now be accessible through Nexeo Solutions.

C515 is an advanced polycarbonate (PC) filament which, boasting excellent printability and low warping effect, is ideal for high volume applications like jigs and fixtures, for example. C515FR is a flame retardant polycarbonate, with high-impact resistance, and is suitable to be used for the making of housings and drones. Finally, SU301 is a PVA-based polymer developed specifically as a support material for FFF printers. It is water soluble and compatible with PLA, TPU, Nylon, and PETG based filaments.

“Our Polymaker Industrial filaments stand out because of their printability while also offering all the intrinsic material properties that engineers get with moulding technology,” said Wildrik van der Weiden, Business Development Manager, Polymaker. “We have made it our mission to develop the highest quality filaments, and together with Nexeo Solutions 3D, we are now able to put our materials in the hands of engineers all over the world, allowing more companies to benefit from our extensive R&D.”
